MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in ‘Soft and Gentle’, £21.50

Despite the name of the highlighter is quite the mouthful, this has got to be one of my favourite powder highlighter’s ever. I first saw it on Rachael from KokoLuxe over a year ago when she was wearing it and I picked one up a few months later. I have been using it since November last year so it is in possibly every picture I have been in since then and I expect it will be for the foreseeable future considering there is a whopping 10g of product! It was my first into the M.A.C. Skinfinish line and I am now hooked.

M.A.C. describes it as “gold-plated bronze peach” but I would say it is more of a “gold-plated warm beige pink” rather than bronze as the images above show. I find this quite the multi-purpose highlighter: cheekbones, inner corner of the eye, brow bone etc. And blends beautifully when layered over other products like bronzers or blushers. I think it is flattering on most skin tones and is really smooth in texture. I love the gold runs though it also, giving you that lovely glow that is comparable NARS Orgasm blush (without the colour). It is fantastic at making your skin looking radiant, when you might not be feeling quite so after a few too many cocktails the night before (We’ve all been there ladies!). Soft and Gentle also photographs on the skin very well and is very easy to apply without the worry you will look ‘too shiny’ or  appear ‘sweaty’ as some highlights can do.

The only negative I would comment on is it is a tad on the pricy side, but is completely worth the investment because it is going to last you a long, long, LONG time.

I would qualify this as a holy grail product myself. Have you tried any of the M.A.C. Mineralise Skinfinish’s? What would you recommend?
