Liz Earle Cleanser & My Skin Care Routine

main liz earle cleanser image

About a week or so ago I was woken up at around 7:30 am with the arrival of an unexpected package. Aside from the poor postman having to see this ‘bundle of joy’ in the morning (I am not a morning person) I was really happy when I found it what it was. Turns out the Liz Earle Christmas set’s just landed, I was so thrilled! I have been dying to try the Liz Earle cleansers out for YEARS, but I was never convinced enough by others to pick up a bottle. But that morning, I ripped open the package and tried it out immediately.

I was very shocked at the results. Mostly, I was surprised how instantly I could tell how much make-up it had uncovered still on my face from the day before – gross. I had cleansed my face before I slept, but still so much mascara was still on my lashes apparently. Move forward to just over a week later and I think they might be one of those “holy grail” products I may not be able to live without, along with most of the Radiant Beauty Collection gift set.

Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Limited Edition Sweet Orange & Mint RRP: £19.75

I may not have a sense of smell, but my sense of ‘taste’ of the environment around me seems to be extremely keen, keen enough to have earned me the title of “snake” occasionally. I say this as in the morning I use the regular Liz Earle Cleanser and Polish as I find the eucalyptus in the product certainly does wake me up and makes feel refreshed, then in the evening I use the Limited Edition Sweet Orange and Mint cleanser because of its sweeter tones, so I find it a lot more calming before bed.

cleansers 2

This Limited Edition cleanser is wonderful, and comes with a hefty 250MG bottle and the signature muslin cloth. The design is beautiful and it is just as impressive as the original. My housemate has nicked some of it already. By the way both these cleansers are totally safe to use on the eyes, and do not even sting if they slip into your eyes accidentally while washing your face, which for me is one of the biggest bonus as I have sensitive eyes when it comes to cleanser products. I have also found I am grabbing for my exfoliators less, since I use these with the muslin cloths which actually do a surprised amount to smooth the skin. I guess it’s called ‘cleanse and polish’ for a reason.

The Radiant Beauty Collection RRP: £55.00

Straight after cleansing I have taken to using the Skin Tonic and Moisturiser and I have to tell you, my skin has never been better! I have started wearing no make-up a lot more than I used to because my skin is so clear, moisturised and bright – the collection is very aptly named The Radiant Beauty Collection after all. If only my dark, dark, circles would step up their game. Then why would I even bother with concealer!?

You’re probably wondering if there is more included in this set – there is. The full box includes: Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser with 2 muslin cloths, the Instant Boost Skin Tonic, Skin Repair Moisturiser, a gentle face Exfoliator and Intensive Nourishing Treatment Mask.  I have yet to try the latter two products, but I am excited. I plan on using the mask tonight as my skin is a little dry with the shift in cold weather and could do with some love.

The reason for this quick review is I thought you might want to grab yourself a deal! On BLACK FRIDAY (link live 28th November 2014) and CYBER MONDAY (Link live 1st December 2014) Liz Earle are running 20% some of their products! When links will go live at midnight, I may just pick up another cleanser as a back up, and thinking of giving my Mum (stop ready this, Mum) the Botanical Skin Saviours set for Christmas.

Personally, if you can splurge, I do 100% recommend the Radiant beauty box set. If not, I don’t know many people who could not use one of these cleansers in their bathroom cabinet – men and women included!

I would love to hear your recommendations for skin care for under eyes. I am using a couple of serums, but age seems to be getting the best of me and I could do with some help. Let me know in the comments below! Also let me know if you also grabbed a bargin on the Liz Earle sales.
