So this year I didn’t place, which honestly I knew wouldn’t happen since I won ‘Highly Commended Best Vlog’ last year, but to even shortlist is incredible and I thankful to all of you for voting. It means so, so much to me. I was up against some amazing people and I am content being part of an alumni of past winners… also there’s always next year!! Faye’s Fix is a deserving winner, and I am just sad I didn’t get to thank her personally!
I started the night with Remmington team as they did my hair, so massive thank you Sophie for my lovely up-do. I have to be honest, I slept with it like this and it stayed. Well pinned Sophie, well pinned. I rarely have up-do’s, I have to learn how to do pretty ones myself, but I think the dress called for it!
Speaking of the dress, I was wearing Chi Chi London. I initially ordered from ASOS three days before the event, I know – bad idea, in a size 12… which was BIG on me. Lesson learned: never online shop whilst feeling insecure. But when I panic tweeted, Chi Chi London came to the rescue and sent over a size 10 by 11am. That is such hardcore customer service and I will 100% purchase from them again. Thanks for helping me out!
I really do love this dress. Although it maybe a tad, shall we say busty, I felt very glam in this. Also I am wearing New Look shoes, but I bought them in the summer so you can’t grab them now… sorry.
The rest of the night was all cocktails, cupcakes and mingling and I very much enjoyed chatting to the other ladies and congratulating them. It was great to see some new upcoming bloggers get some recognition! I also thanked Louise Court – editor in chef for Cosmopolitan UK – for last year and she was a pleasure to talk to. I was so happy I could show my gratitude.
And that was basically my night. I vlogged some bits and I hope to have a Vlogtober weekly roundup live on Sunday. I can’t do everyday… I would die with my workload.
Lastly, thanks again to Cosmopolitan for a lovely night… and the Cosmo’s.
